An update

Hey Guys,

Hello and good day. We hope this message finds you well and that life is shining on you. We are writing with some of the biggest news we have ever had as a band. 

1. As many of you already know, we just finished out latest EP in the studio and it is due to be released at the end of February AND in early March. We are really proud of these songs and the direction that we are moving in. We are excited to get them ready for you and can't wait for you to have them.
   
2. We have our 2 CD release dates set for our fans. One is in Raleigh on Feb 21st at the The Pour House and the second is for our friends in Charlotte on March 7th at The Evening Muse . We need you these shows. 
   
3. Patrick has bought a new guitar. This is not nearly as exciting but....since we were excited about it...we thought we would share.
   

Now, in relation to this news we are going to need your help with a few things. We need your help getting the word out. Making music ain't easy, but we love it, and we think other people would love our music as well. Even the person sitting beside you at work right now. "Her" you ask? Yes, even her.  Because of this we are going to do a few things over the next 3 weeks.

1. We'll keep our blog updated a few times a week leading up to the show. We will be posting some acoustic versions of the songs and stuff. Get people here - http://www.silvermusiconline.com/
   
2. We're gonna do a couple video blogs so you and your friends can meet us before the show and know whats going on.
3. We'll have some Facebook/Myspace messages that have some details/reminders that everyone needs.
   

"Why are you telling me this?" you ask. You see, this is where you come in. We are doing this for you and for that person sitting next to you. The problem is we don't know that person sitting next to you. You do. We would really be jazzed if you simply passed along the blog/videos/facebook messages as you get them. We also would be even more jazzed if we could get you to have the goal of bringing at least one person (if not 3) with you to the CD release show that has never heard of Silver. 

OK, that is our update for now. In short...

• mark your calendars for the nearest Silver CD release show - February 21st + March 7th
• watch out for updates/videos/blogs
• pass along said updates/videos/blogs
• decide who you can bring with you to the show

CD Release SHOWS

They are now booked in Raleigh + in Charlotte.  We are hoping to can make it to one or perhaps both.  Either way, we will be here:

Silver +/-

So here is the news. Silver has recorded a new record. It should be finished sometime in late February or early March. We are super excited about it. The album is going to be called +/- or "plus minus". All of the production and artwork is as yet forthcoming but it should look awesome.

The record is a bit of a concept record in that, in keeping with the title, the album is divided into two parts. The first several songs on the record are lighter and more positive. The last several songs are darker and more negative. This same thing holds true for the subject matter of the songs as well. The first few songs are bit more positive while the last few might be a but more dark or critical.

When we started writing these songs we did not set out to write an album like that. That is simply what came out when we started writing.

When it is all said and done though. We are super happy with the product that we have thus far, and we can't wait to share it with you guys.

Check back soon since we are going to be posting some album art and track listing and stuff as it becomes available.

The Lincoln
